To tell the truth? Namco Museum Curator wasn’t exactly feeling too great. She had just gotten off the presses from her third Winner’s match, and it was her most decisive victory yet, but being a Winner’s Finalist carried a lot of weight. The pressure was on her now, it felt. Even though she was concealing her identity with her Pac-Man inspired costume, she could feel eyes glaring at her in the party, from her fellow contestants who weren’t... nearly as lucky with the bracket standings.

Not among them, however, was one Bandana Waddle Dee, walking around with a cup of apple juice (as is standard, but he got one of the spooky little Halloween cups to drink out of for the party! It seems to be of a peculiar build, almost like drinking out of a flask. Almost befitting of a witch, or a mad scientist... all this is to say, he’s feeling real swell about this fancy little cup!). Not watching where he was going, he finds himself walking directly into Ms. Curator, and found his stub hand dropping his apple juice, and getting it all over Namco’s blue bedsheet costume-

"O-oh! I'm so sorry, ma'am!!"

The Curator quickly picked her attitude up, before looking back downwards to meet the eye of her dampened costume and the Dreamland civilian.

"Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it, okay? This isn't the... hardest costume to replace, blip-blip."
"Still, though! H-here, hold tight!"

The young Waddle Dee quickly dashed off, dropping their cup-flask to find the exit of the party suite. Sighing, the Curator picked up the can Dee left behind, and quickly followed him.

A few minutes pass by, consisting of Ms. Namco calling for the Bandana Dee on the walkways of the island. Eventually, she found herself in front of the Dreamlander's shack, and could see him searching his bedsheets for... something he wouldn't miss, if she had to guess. She seems to have arrived at the perfect moment, as after a few seconds, he holds one up, and ...!

"Aha! There we are! Now just to-"
... ?
"O-oh! Hi! I was gonna make you a replacement sheet. It's the least I could do..."
"Oh, you don’t have to go that far, blip-blip..."
"Well, I am! And I should have just the thing to make this work, riiight..."

Bandana Dee got up and began searching his closets. After haphazardly throwing a trinket or two from his homeland, he pulled out a paintbrush!

"Aw, sweet! I knew Paint Roller gave me this!!"

He turned to the Curator, grabbing his bedsheet.

"I'll only be a second! Could you close the door, please?"
"You're gonna paint a completely new one? Here, let me come in. I'm an arts-and-crafts master, blip!"
"Oh, I didn't even think about that, haha! Yeah, sure, you can help!!"

The Curator came in, and closed the door behind her. Dee quickly scribbled a blue onto the sheet, a blue that was just a bit too sky-blue and tone-filled. The two had a back-and-forth for a little while about the sheet's coloration, but eventually, they nailed the color! Bandana Dee stared at his handiwork.

"Hm. Something's missing."
"Really? Did I forget something?"

Dee paused for a second, before-

"The face! I totally forgot!! Here, let me-!"

Bandana Dee quickly scrobbled in a spooky face! It wasn't quite faithful to Pac-Man's legacy, but it worked for what it was!

"Done and done! Here you go!! Sorry about earlier..."
"Hehe, you worry too much. Give me that paintbrush, would you? I want to return the favor, blip-blip."
"Oh, uh... alright!"

Bandana Dee did so- and the Curator took a look around his room, and the flask-like cup that she picked up from Dee earlier. Getting an idea, she quickly started to make her own art out of the cup. Before long...

It was finished. The cup had been given a make-over, fully gilded in coloration; with King Dedede’s print on the bottom, for good measure.

"Here you go, I hope you like it... consider it a token of my gratitude, blip."
"Oh, this is..."

Bandana Dee stared down at the cup, inscrutable. For a second, the Curator was scared she completely misread his wants, or made something he didn't like looking at, but...

"... amazing! I love this!! I’m gonna show everybody!!!"

Bandana Dee quickly fled once more, making sure not to drop his gift on behalf of the Curator. Ms. Namco quietly laughed.

"That kid's too excitable... good. I like friends like that, blip-blip."

Smiling, the Namco Museum Curator walked after him once more, her spirits lifted high for the festivities to come...
